RIP my old schoolmate Joey Mac. One time I ended up with Joey’s bag and trainees in my house - I can’t remember why, but Joey’s trainees were definitely better than mine. The next day I had to walk to Goodison with my mates from Old Swan to make a season ticket payment or something. I knew what I’d do, I’d wear Joey’s brand new Reebok classics. What could go wrong? So I walked to Goodison with these brand new trainees on, feeling a million dollars. Just as I got to Goodison, this deafening roar from about 200 yards shouted “get them off now!!” Joey Mac was also going to Goodison that day - of all the days! He made me swap trainees there and then in the street! Sorry Joe. You will be missed mate. RIP x
